Cinque Terre, a quaint Italian harbour town, normally boasts of the aromas of garlic, basil, tomato sauce, and crisp sea air, not the scent of murder.

The pastel buildings and cobblestone streets are lined with Italian trattorias, including the famous La Nonna’s Nonna, named after Filomena's grandmother.

But when Pepperoni, her clue-sniffing beagle sidekick, leads to Filomena to the dead body of the notorious food critic, Alistair, the bustling restaurant halts to a standstill.
