Mary Rose Ramirez, daughter of Veronica Ganz, is named after her aunt, who died in a fire many years ago. Her aunt was a great hero – she saved the lives of everyone in her apartment building. At least, that’s what Mary Rose thinks until she finds a box of odds and ends her aunt had treasured, and overhears some conversation she shouldn’t.
